1. What programs does Thunderbolts Volleyball offer?

We offer a variety of programs for youth athletes, including competitive rep teams, house league programs, seasonal camps (March Break / Summer / Winter), and private or small-group training sessions. Our programs are designed to support players of different ages and skill levels.

2. Where are your training locations?

Our programs primarily operate in Markham, Richmond Hill, and Scarborough at local school and community gym facilities.

3. What age groups do you accept?

We offer programs for athletes typically ranging from U12 to U18, depending on the season and program availability.

4. What is the difference between Rep Team and House League?

  • Rep Teams are competitive teams that participate in tournaments and official league competitions. Players must attend tryouts to be selected.
  • House League programs focus on skill development, gameplay, and enjoyment of the sport without the commitment of competitive tournaments.

5. How can my child join a Rep Team?

Players must attend our official tryouts. Tryout dates are usually announced before the start of each season, usually in August. Team selections are based on skill level, potential, teamwork, and positional needs.

6. When does the Rep season run?

The competitive season typically runs from September to April, with practices, tournaments, and training sessions throughout the season.

7. How many practices do Rep teams have per week??

Most Rep teams practice 2-3 times per week, depending on the team level and schedule.

8. What tournaments do Rep teams participate in?

Our Rep teams compete in tournaments organized by the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) and other sanctioned competitions throughout the season.

9. Do players need previous volleyball experience?

  • Rep Teams: Prior volleyball experience is recommended
  • House League & Camps: Beginners are welcome, and these programs are great for learning the fundamentals.

10. What equipment is required?

  • Indoor Court Shoes
  • Comfortable athletic clothing
  • Water bottle
  • Knee pads (recommended)

11. Do you offer private training?

12. How can I register?

Registration is available through our online registration system. Program announcements and registration links will be shared through our website and email updates.
